Ho Ho Ho,
Welcome to the North Pole. Today is Tuesday February 19, 2008 which is also known as “Elf Day” here at the North Pole.
Elf Day is a very special day at the elf e-mentry school because this is the day that the elves get the school ready for Mrs. Claus and I to visit. Mrs. Claus will be spending the day at school on Wednesday and I get my chance to visit on Thursday.
The elves are soooooo cute on elf day because this is the one time during the year when the elves get to keep secrets from us. The elves were so excited this morning that I’ll bet only half of them ate their breakfast and then they all ran all the way to school. When Mrs. Claus and I walked over to the school (to make sure they all arrived safely) there was a big “KEEP OUT” sign on the door and below the sign it said “This means you Santa”. Mrs. Claus and I tried to listen in through the door and all we could hear was music and laughter. I guess we will have to wait to see what surprises are in store for us over the next 2 days.
Mrs. Claus and I walked along Christmas Tree Lane back to our house talking and wondering what the elves had planned for us.
The elves got off of school around 3:30 and as soon as they came over we knew that their mission was to keep a big secret from us. Every time Mrs. Claus and I would ask them what they did in school today….all they would say was “nothing”….and then start to giggle. The only hint they gave us was to make sure we bring an extra change of cloths with us when we visit on our days.
Tonight we are going to the North Pole Brag Barn to see what the boys and girls have been bragging about and then we will go over to the North Pole Wishing Wall to see what we can do to help some wishes come true. I know that Mrs. Claus wants to get to bed early tonight to make sure she is rested for the big day tomorrow.
